Traffic Regulations and Restrictions
Signage Ordinances:
Signage Ordinance No. 06/23 – Transit is prohibited for vehicles with a full-load weight exceeding 44 tons and overtaking is forbidden for vehicles exceeding 7.5 tons on the “Vomero – Camaldoli” highway section in both the eastbound (towards the highways) and westbound (towards Pozzuoli) directions.
Signage Ordinance No. 01/24 – Transit is prohibited for vehicles with a full-load weight exceeding 26 tons on the entry and exit ramps at Via Cilea – Vomero Interchange.
Restrictions on the Transit of Hazardous Goods
- Ordinance No. 02/17 (issued on February 20, 2017) prohibits the transit of vehicles transporting hazardous materials and goods, as defined in Article 168 of Legislative Decree 285/1992, on Tangenziale di Napoli from km 0+000 to km 20+200 during the following timeframes: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM, on both weekdays and holidays, in both directions. Exceptions apply to substances identified by Kemler numbers 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 606, 80, 90, and 99, including empty vehicles, unless a valid vehicle decontamination certificate is presented.
- Transit is also prohibited on Tangenziale di Napoli from km 0+000 to km 20+200, in both directions, from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, for vehicles transporting materials classified under Kemler number 99, unless a valid vehicle decontamination certificate is presented.
- Permitted transit hours: Free circulation is allowed from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM, on both weekdays and holidays.
